The ODST, obvious inspiration for the Helldivers, will be released in the form of their iconic armour, capes, and weaponry.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690b7ce5daabe\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Launching on August 26, 2025, at 5am PT \/ 1pm BST, here\u2019s everything you need to know about the Helldivers 2 and Halo: ODST crossover.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-heading-690b7ce5db164\" class=\"esi-heading \">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"what_is_the_helldivers_2_x_halo_odst_legendary_warbond-2\">What is the Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond?<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690b7ce5db7c8\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>The Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond is new content for Helljumpers to dig into, but far beyond that, it\u2019s also an important milestone in an age-old gaming rivalry. Despite rumours of Halo remakes landing on PlayStation consoles, we\u2019ve yet to see that come to fruition. Instead, Helldivers 2\u2019s crossover marks (one of) the first instances that Halo\u2019s IP has been on PlayStation.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690b7ce5dbe5b\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>There was a Master Chief skin in Fortnite, though the gravitas of the event is far from the scale of this.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690b7ce5dc546\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>This means that <strong>this Legendary Warbond is the first <\/strong><strong><em>major<\/em><\/strong><strong> appearance of Halo on PlayStation<\/strong>. It appears to strike a balance between the Liberator and the Breaker.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690b7ce5ddb69\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>The M7S on the other hand, an SMG, appears to offer more parity with the stealth loadouts that ODST will herald.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690b7ce5de21e\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>The same can be said for the M6C\/SOCOM pistol, for the first time in Helldivers &#8211; a pistol equipped with a suppressor.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690b7ce5de866\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Both of the armour sets, the A-9 Helljumper and A-35 Recon set, are equipped with the Feet First passive, which grants the following buffs:<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Less noise from movement<\/li>\n<li>30% increased range while finding points of interest<\/li>\n<li>Immunity to leg injuries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690b7ce5def7c\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>There are also vehicle patterns for your FRV, exosuit, shuttle, and hellpod. These can all be paired with Halo-themed player banners and a player title.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690b7ce5df5b9\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p><strong>However, this does all come at a price<\/strong>. The Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond is going to set players back 1,500 Super Credits, an increase of 500 over typical warbonds. <strong>The full cost of this Warbond roughly equates to \u00a312 in the UK or $14 in the US<\/strong>. The increased price is likely to cover the licensing costs of bridging Xbox with its biggest rival, though it is significantly more expensive.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690b7ce5dfc44\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Another caveat is the fact that Legendary Warbonds are not compatible with the new Premium Warbond Tokens that are launching on August 26. <strong>Only Super Credits can be used to purchase this<\/strong>, so upgrades granted by the Super Citizen Earth Edition won\u2019t be valid.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-heading-690b7ce5e02da\" class=\"esi-heading \">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"fan_reaction-2\">Fan reaction<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690b7ce5e0988\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>The first real crossover between Halo and PlayStation has had <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Helldivers\/comments\/1mui6rb\/comment\/n9iwl6w\/\">fans labelling it<\/a> as the \u201cend of the console war era,\u201d with others wittily remarking that it\u2019s occurring with \u201cboth sides in immense shitstorms, very romantic.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690b7ce5e1011\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>In reference to the discussion between Xbox and PlayStation cementing this crossover, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/Helldivers\/comments\/1mui6rb\/comment\/n9jh88l\/\">one fan said<\/a> that it would have been \u201c30 minutes of awkward silence before some rookie intern showed them a graph of how much money they could actually make.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-690b7ce5e1699\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>There\u2019s no reason to believe that this won\u2019t be an extremely commercially successful event for both publishers, too. It\u2019s currently averaging its lowest sum since it launched.
