The event tops the charts with a peak viewership of 267,279.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68810e1d0ffff\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>This year&#8217;s event was won by North American esports organisation <strong>Spacestation Gaming<\/strong>, with its Halo team claiming $400,000 (~\u00a3305,158) in prize money after defeating <strong>OpTic Gaming <\/strong>in the Grand Finals. The 2024 HCS season saw a total of four Major tournaments take place across North America and London.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68810e1d10601\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>In comparison to the <a href=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/2023\/10\/halo-world-championship-2023-viewership\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/esportsinsider.com\/2023\/10\/halo-world-championship-2023-viewership\">2023 Halo World Championship<\/a>, 2024 has seen a slight decline in viewership. Peak viewership dropped by approximately 36.2% (159,000) while average viewing figures decreased by 34.8% (74,468). Last year&#8217;s world finals was the second most watched Halo esports event ever. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68810e1d10c17\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Moreover, this year&#8217;s World Championship did record slightly fewer peak viewers than the <a href=\"https:\/\/escharts.com\/tournaments\/halo5\/halo-championship-series-2024-arlington-major-halo5\">Halo Championship Series 2024: Arlington Major<\/a> (109,670).<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"esi-paragraph-68810e1d11218\" class=\"esi-paragraph \">\n<p>Following the conclusion of the 2024 Halo World Championship, the HCS revealed Halo&#8217;s esports circuit will be returning for 2025 with a $1m (~\u00a3762,785) prize pool for the World Championship.
