Another month is on the horizon, which means it’s time for Pokémon Go’s November Go Pass. This month’s pass sees the return of the Lucky Trinket and the continuation of plenty of awesome rewards, but it’s also the last chance to claim a very special type of legendary Pokémon.
As we’ve come to expect from Pokémon Go’s monthly free passes, the final reward for November’s Go Pass is an encounter with the legendary Pokémon, Virizion, with a Tales of Transformation-themed background. However, according to the official blog post, this gen 5 Pokémon is the last level 100 encounter to come with a seasonal special background to differentiate it from any other legendaries you’ve caught in raids or by other means. This Virizion still has the chance to be shiny, so if you’re lucky enough, you could end up with a very rare Pokémon.
There’s no word from the Pokémon Go team yet on what, if anything, will replace the special seasonal backgrounds for level 100 legendary encounters, but I sincerely hope that there’s a replacement on the cards. November’s other highlight is the return of the Lucky Trinket after a three-month break. This item lets you Lucky Trade with friends earlier than usual, making it easier to complete your Pokédex without maxing out friendships.
